Commercial and Industrial Projects

Admirals Cove Country Club, Jupiter, FL – Mechanical Engineer involved in the evaluation of clubs facilities in response to Indoor Air Quality issues. Investigation included the identification of pollutant sources; evaluation of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system performance; Identifying and implementing corrective measures.

Seminole County Administration Complex, Sanford, FL – Performed complete evaluation of building HVAC systems and indoor air. Identified causes of system air balance issues in return air plenum of complex. Documented specific remediation. Performed on-site monitoring and inspection during remediation. Conducted post remedial inspection.

Port of Palm Beach Chiller/Thermal Storage Plant, Riviera Beach, FL – Mechanical Designer involved in the design of central chiller/thermal storage plant. Design included two, 260-ton water-cooled chillers, primary/secondary pumping, complete underground distribution piping to serve cruise terminal building, pumping and piping capacity to accommodate future expansion, approximately 2,400-ton-hours of ice storage to allow full-shift of the demand load. System also includes complete DDC control system networked to the cruise terminal building.

Free Port Ship Repair Yard Office/Workshop, Freeport, Bahamas – HVAC design for a 12,000 SF office building with chilled water/VAV system in the office building, and ventilation design for the restrooms in the workshop. Piney Point Phosphates, Palmetto, FL – HVAC renovation of a 2,000 SF office building and warehouse.

SJRWMD Ocklawaha Field Station, Palatka, FL – Mechanical design for an 8,600 SF office and fleet service building. Ventilation and Vehicle exhaust design for the fleet service area. Plumbing design for the entire facility. Port of New Orleans Julia Street Terminal, New Orleans, LA – HVAC design for an 8,000 SF passenger transition area.

Astons Gardens Residential Community, Parkland FL – Mechanical design for a 700 SF maintenance building and a 220 SF guardhouse.

Port Manatee Cruise Terminal/Office/Warehouse, Port Manatee, FL – Mechanical Engineering for design of 50,000 SF building with refrigerated warehouse, offices, and cruise terminal.

Library and Educational Projects

HVAC Modifications for Palm Beach County School District, Palm Beach County, FL – Lead Mechanical Engineer for various projects to add cooling to school building kitchens throughout the District. Design included cooling equipment independent of building main systems, exhaust and makeup air systems, controls interface with existing energy management systems, and lighting and fire alarm system upgrades as necessary.

Jan Kaminis Platt Regional Library, Tampa, FL – HVAC design for a 15,000 SF public library. System included VAV/Chilled water-cooling with DDC controls.

Okeechobee School #1 Auditorium, Okeechobee, FL – Project Mechanical Engineer. Interior renovation effort included exposing and restoring the original wood truss and deck construction in the house, expanding the backstage and dressing room areas, creating an entrance lobby with a theater ticket office and public restrooms, as well as introducing central HVAC.

Lake Sumter Community College Library, Sumter County, FL – Project Mechanical Designer for HVAC/Plumbing system design for a 15,000 SF library and classroom building. Systems included fan-powered VAV air distribution, central station air handling units with DX cooling, and complete DDC system controls interfaced with campus-wide network.

Okeechobee School No. 2, Okeechobee, FL – Project Mechanical Engineering manager for complete renovation of existing 27,000 SF classroom building. HVAC and plumbing systems were completely replaced. HVAC system includes 100% ice storage system with outdoor air pretreatment and chilled water fan coil system. Installation includes complete DDC energy management system.

The Shops at Boca Center, Boca Raton, FL – Mechanical Design for several retail spaces.

Recreational Facilities

Northwood Recreation Center Campus, West Palm Beach, FL – HVAC ductwork design for community center, childcare facility, and adult recreation center.

Pleasant City Youth House, West Palm Beach, FL – Engineer. Responsible mechanical design for two-story youth house (8,000 SF) providing community services for education, training, and youth and adult programs.

Miami Ballet/Opera Hall, Miami, FL – Conceptual designed of the electrical systems.

Miami Concerts Hall, Miami, FL – Conceptual designed of the electrical systems.

Office and Government Projects

Our TeamAir Freight Passenger Terminal and Base Supply Traffic Management Complex, Design Build, American Bridge, Patrick Air Force Base, Brevard County, FL – Responsible for managing the design of this multi-use facility owned by the United States Air Force. Facility includes three separate buildings with unique uses: an Air Freight Passenger terminal, an Administration/Office Building, and a Storage Warehouse. Additional items within the project also included are field paving, access roads, site work, and landscape. Other responsibilities included structural design of the tilt panel storage warehouse.

U.S. Navy Charleston Passport Facility, Charleston, SC – Project Mechanical Engineer for the renovation of 68,000 SF office processing center for use by Department of State. Project included complete design of all new HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Performed life cycle cost analysis of ground coupled water source heat pump system versus conventional VAV/chilled water system.

Royal Saudi Navy Forces Maritime Fire Trainer, Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – Project Mechanical Engineer responsible for the mechanical design associated with this maritime fire trainer. Features three levels, 154' long structure with search and rescue corridors and cabins. Mechanical systems consisted of Fire generating equipment, smoke removal and conditioned cooling throughout. Water reclamation system consisted of deep sump pool and turbine pump.

Miami Airport, Miami, FL- Design of new indoor Airport Substation.
Miami, FL, Electrical Design for Miami International Airport Aprons – lighting system project.
Miami International Airport, Miami, FL, – Project Engineer for the conceptual design to upgrade .
Miami, FL, Primary Power and communication systems – for new American Airline Terminal Improvements.
Miami, FL, Principal/Lead Electrical Engineer for a new Miami-Dade Metro-Rail Terminal – rail line extension and electrical substation. Also included in this project were several miles of roadway lighting. Principal/Project Engineer for the Boca Raton, FL Airport – Air Traffic Control Tower.

Tampa Port Authority, Tampa, FL – Project Mechanical Engineer for the renovation of passenger cruise terminal. The project included cruise offices, passenger terminals, customs and INS secured areas.
Port of Galveston Cruise Terminal, Galveston, TX – Project Mechanical Engineer for the conversion of 19th century cotton warehouses into two cruise terminals totaling 220,000 SF of conditioned space. The project included cruise offices, passenger terminals, customs and INS secured areas.

Braden River Fire Station #2, Bradenton, FL – Mechanical design renovation for a 5,500 SF fire station.
Braden River Fire Station #3, Bradenton, FL – Mechanical design for a 5,200 SF fire station.
Edgewater Fire Station, Edgewater, FL – HVAC design for a 5,000 SF fire station.
Port Everglades, FL – Principal/Lead Engineer – for the renovations of Port Everglades Free Trade Zone Buildings Fire Alarm System.
Lake Wales Fire Station, Lake Wales, FL – Sr. Mechanical Engineer. Design of mechanical systems for four-bay fire station with 15,728 SF enclosed space plus 728 SF exterior balcony and stair. Two-story station included lobby, dispatch, offices, conference room, dormitory, and toilet room and showers. Vertical egress is provided via elevator, exterior stair, and slide pole. The entire facility is to be hurricane hardened. A dedicated emergency diesel generator is located on site to support emergency operations at the facility as well as EOC operations scheduled for the large conference room.

Tarpon Springs Public Safety Facility, Tarpon Springs, FL – Project Mechanical Engineering Manager for design of new 36,000 SF facility to house fire, police, and administrative functions. Full HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design. Chilled water system with VAV air distribution.

Roadhouse Grill Corporate Headquarters, Pompano Beach, FL – HVAC design for a 15,000 SF office building. System consisted of packaged rooftop units and complete duct distribution system.
